Production Supervisor

Herefordshire - Salary circa £33,000

A heavy industry manufacturer based in Herefordshire is seeking a Production Supervisor.

The position has normal working hours - Monday to Friday and the salary is in the region of £33,000 + excellent benefits.

Job Summary:

1. Effective Management of the Specific Production Area including: Safety, Quality, Output, Costs.
2. Implementation of Training and Development within the department to meet Company Objectives
3. Individual and operation based performance management statistics
4. Establish & Maintain effective communications across functions.
5. Identify continuous improvement opportunities within the designated area, developing with engineering and or other functions modifications and or process improvements across the process to achieve company short, medium and long term objectives
6.Implement company policies on attendance and performance and where appropriate carrying out disciplinary meetings
7.Assist other supervisors in day to day departmental issues
8. Deputise for Production Manager at specific operational meetings
9. Maintain Training Records in accordance with company procedures

Person Specifications

1. Ideally /HND/Degree Qualified in an Engineering or Manufacturing Science Discipline
2. Proven production management experience
3. Relevant experience in a heavy manufacturing environment (eg: automotive, aerospace, metal refining, petrochem, nuclear)
