Electro/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer

An international manufacturing company in Salisbury is seeking an Electro/Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
Job Purpose:
To cover proactive and reactive maintenance tasks on the site during operations. Covering Electrical, Mechanical and basic plant maintenance requirements to ensure continuity of production operations. Carrying out Planned maintenance schedules on plant and equipment. Maintenance of Electrics, Pneumatics, Hydraulics, PLC’s.
Main Responsibilities:
1. Carry out Electrical and mechanical planned maintenance tasks in line with current schedules. Plan and organise follow up work derived from Planned Maintenance checks. Carry out planned calibration checks and Portable appliance testing. 2. Attend to Electrical and mechanical and plant breakdowns. Co-ordinate any follow on activities with other shifts leaving clear instructions. Identifying spare part requirements. 3. Carry out project work e.g. building rewiring, new equipment installations, process and asset movements, machine upgrades, energy management etc. 4. Recommend and implement improvements to assets, plant and buildings in order to achieve gains in Safety, Quality, Productivity and reductions in cost.
Knowledge and Experience Required:
1. Time Served Apprenticeship – Electrical
2. City & Guilds 2382 – 17th Edition
3. Five Years experience in automated process environment
4. Abilty to construct & read electrical drawings
5. PLC Experience
