Commercial Manager

Hereford - Salary circa £50,000

We are seeking a Commercial Manager for a heavy manufacturing business based in Herefordshire.

Job Summary:

Member of the Commercial Management Team, providing commercial guidance to the department and the wider business. Balanced achievement of short term and long term objectives. Work closely with members of the Operations Management Team to ensure alignment in the achievement of the company’s short term and long term goals. Work closely with the Customer Service Team to ensure alignment within the Commercial department. Manage direct reports to meet goals of the commercial team and ensure the team are appropriately trained and developed. Ensure adherence to Health and safety, quality and other working procedures.

Experience and Qualifications Required:

• Relevant commercial experience, ideally within an engineering/manufacturing environment
• Experience in managing complex multi-million pound proposals to customers worldwide
• Experience in negotiating contracts/commercial issues with customers
• Experience in successfully growing profitable customer relationships
• Experience in delivering against short term and long term financial targets
• Experience in developing and managing direct reports
• Willingness to travel nationally and internationally as required
• Ability to communicate and network effectively at all levels
