Control Systems Engineer

We are seeking a Control Systems Engineer for a technology company in Hook, Hampshire

We are seeking a recent graduate with an excellent knowledge of control theory to support the Technical Lead with the design/development of control systems. The role is varied and requires an individual with a good academic vent who can understand problems and produce solutions using firmware/software.
Key Areas of Responsibility:

• Design and development of control systems to support new and existing equipment and products
• Tuning, analysis and debugging of control systems
• Preparation of concise, accurate and clear documentation of all new systems developed to ensure maintainability of developed hardware and software
• Use of version control systems (GIT)
• Implementation of control systems in embedded hardware.
• Maintenance of developments and updating of associated documentation to ensure the most up-to- date information is recorded and available
• Establish and carry out test plans describing test environment and expected results in order to build robust and maintainable software and hardware systems prior to shipping

Key Requirements

• Degree in relevant academic discipline e.g. Control Engineering or related discipline
• Programming in both C and C#
• GUI Development (WPF, XAML, Visual Studio)
• Version control (GIT)
Advantageous Technical Skills:

• Knowledge of electronics design/PCB layout (preferably Altium Designer)
• Nonlinear & Adaptive control techniques
• Matlab/Simulink
• Model/problem optimisation (e.g. curve fitting, regression analysis etc.)
